  17. This file contains the steps to remove all files when printing with the MAC
  18. VAP's setup through MACSETUP.  The file also contains the steps to start
  19. over from scratch.

  38. The following steps are used to delete Macintosh printing from a NetWare
  39. for Macintosh vap host or target.
  40.  
  41. For 1.1/2.0 VAPS:
  42.  
  43. 1. Use MACSETUP to delete any APPLETALK print queues that were created with
  44. MACSETUP.
  45.  
  46. 2. In the SYS:SYSTEM directory, type the following command:
  47.  
  48.    NDIR ATPRINT.SET /SUB  or
  49.    NDIR *.SET /SUB (if queue resides on a target server)
  50.  
  51. Record the number of the directory found (if any). This is the APPLETALK
  52. print server directory.
  53.  
  54. (The print server directory under SYS:SYSTEM can also be found from the
  55. Print Server ID in Pconsole)
  56.  
  57. 3. Change directory to the APPLETALK print server directory and delete all
  58. files in it.
  59.  
  60. 4. Remove the APPLETALK print server directory using the following
  61. generalized instructions (may vary from site to site):
  62.  
  63. CD 0032720D (This APPLETALK print server number will vary)
  64. DEL *.*     (Answer Y to "Are you sure Y/N?")
  65. CD..
  66. RD 0032720D
  67.  
  68. 5. Delete the APSVAP.VAP and AQSVAP.VAP from SYS:SYSTEM.
  69.  
  70. 6. Run MAC_DEL to delete the APPLETALK bindery objects.
  71.  
  72. 7. Run BINDFIX. (DO NOT use 'show dots=on' in SHELL.CFG file from the
  73. workstation where BINDFIX is run, possible volume damage may occur!)
  74.  
  75. 8. Run Macsetup to re-create Macinstosh print services.

  77. For 2.2 VAPS
  78.  
  79. 1. At the server console, use the DELETE command to delete any APPLETALK
  80. print queues.
  81.  
  82. 2. Use the same commands (step 2 above) to find and delete the APPLETALK
  83. print server directory in SYS:SYSTEM.
  84.  
  85. 3. Run MAC_DEL to delete the APPLETALK bindery objects.
  86.  
  87. 4. Run BINDFIX. (DO NOT use 'show dots=on' in SHELL.CFG file from the
  88. workstation where BINDFIX is run, possible volume damage may occur!)
  89.  
  90. 5. Run RECONFIG at the server console and answer yes to Add or remove
  91. volumes/LAN adapters.
  92.  
  93. 6. Down the server and reboot, AUTOCFG vap will recreate the APPLETALK
  94. print server directory under SYS:SYSTEM and the APPLETALK bindery objects.
  95.  
  96. 7. Down the server and reboot again. Now use the CREATE, PUBLISH and ATTACH
  97. commands at the server console to configure your server for Macintosh print
  98. services.
